Merry Christmas | 6 Week Update | Almost Here

Hey dears. First off I want to wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas! I hope you all have a amazing & safe holiday!

Yesterday both of our families came to the hospital room and had our own little celebration of finger foods, gifts, & family time, which was amazing. I now have one week left until I reach 34 weeks & we get to meet this little guy. At 32 weeks they tried to collect fluid to test it to see if his lungs were matured & lets say they wanted 10mLs of fluid & for a person with ruptured membranes well lets just say thats not happening. My doctor however did tell me she will be off on the 1st which is when I make my 34 weeks so she is looking to induce on the 31st. So a New Year's Eve baby!! All I can say is after almost 7 weeks in this hospital room this momma is ready for him to here, also ready for some freedom & go back to normal life with a new addition. However he will need to be NICU for a bit until he gains all his weight & a few other bits and bobs, but other than that things should go fairly smoothly. However can I just say that he has the cutest set of full lips ever.

December Sephora Play Subscription

Hey dears. So it's that time of the month when my wonderful Play Subscription comes in, which you'll never know what you'll get in it, which is half the fun. If you're not sure what exactly I'm talking about you can check out my post here.  So let's dive in to see what goodies were in the box.

Make Up Forever Smoothing Primer: I know I love a good primer. I find using a primer vs not using one prior to make up application, well I notice a  huge difference. It makes your make up more flawless & holds better during the day. It says it helps make up last longer while the targeted formula balances skin's texture, which results in a smoother, more even look. Who can ask for anything more.

Detox Dry Shampoo: This is a product that I already use on a regular at home. What I love about it is it isn't like other dry shampoos that have the white spray this one is actually a brown spray that blends into your hair perfectly!

Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray: This is another product I already have a full size of at home. Happy to now have a travel size one. It works amazingly when used. Spray on once you have completed your make up and your make up will not budge until you wash it off that night.

Sephora Cream Lip Stain: This tiny sample is one of my favorite things to try. I got it in the color Always Red. It has a few of my favorite components, it's matte & red. Can't wait to try it and see how the wear of it is.

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara: This is by an amazing brand. It is in the color Jet Black. Says it has high impact volume with a smudge free formula. Will surely put that to use to see how true it is.

Elizabeth & James Nirvana Bourbon: This is one of my favorite perfume samples that I have also had in the past. It very warm & spicy with a hint of vanilla and floral. Smells amazing, defiantly something to purchase in the future.

December Ipsy Subscription

Hey dears. So I just got in this months Ipsy Subscription, so let's take a look at what I got this month.

Briogeo Curl Charisma Frizz Control Gel: Bottle says it is infused with frizz fighting rice amino acids, nourishing quinoa, & tomato fruit ferment to enhance the texture of your curls. The gel shapes & defines curls without sticky or crunchy after effects. If this can tame my curls then well done... We shall see.

Hanalei Lip Treatment: I alway have problems with my lip peeling whether I apply some sort of moisturizer or not. So I love try out new lip treatment products to see the out come.

Mad Lash Mascara: It's a cute little sample of mascara. I have a thing for mascaras so I cannot wait to see what this one will do. The brush has a curve to it, so I feel like it will make my lashes fan out.

Tarte Maracuja Oil: Love the cute packaging in a purple bottle. Box says that it is a powerful multi-tasking elixir to help soften cuticles, tame fly aways, condition split ends, & hydrate dry skin & rough patches. Who doesn't love a good multi-use product.

City Color Be Matte Blush: This is a 3 color palette in the colors Fresh Melon, Blackberry, & Guava. They are some beautiful summer colors that I cannot wait to try out.

Hey dears. Yesterday I posted a Gift Ideas Under $20 For Her here. So of course we have to do a post for him. This post I did link a few ideas I found off of Amazon, so lets get to it...
Beer mugs. If the person you are buying for loves a good beer, this would be a great gift for him. Now this can also be used of course for any beverage, alcoholic or not. This was actually our gift to our groomsmen at our wedding & was quite the hit. You can find a good set of these on Amazon for $14.88.

As in my other post I feel you can't go wrong with a good scarf. This of course comes in all sorts of colors & styles. Here is a few from Amazon for $17.98. Of course you can find this is most shops, pricing may vary.

Now most men we know use wallets, there are very few who don't. You can find these basically any where again with different price ranges. This I however did find again on Amazon for $17.99.

Earphones are also a good safe zone for men who you're just not sure what to get him. Let's be honest, not many people don't listen to music at some point in their day. This is a great pair of Uiissii earphones that come in a few different colors. Again you can get these from Amazon on sale now for $11.99.
Another great go to that you cannot go wrong with is a gift card. You can get them for his favorite place to shop. Whether it clothing, gaming, sporting goods, etc. Again you can also put as much money as you want on it.

5 Gift Ideas For Her | Under $20

Hey dears. So I figured it'd be a cute Christmas post to do a gifts for her for under $20, these would make some great stocking stuffers. So let's get straight into it!

Zoella Beauty Products are a great line that ranges from many different scents & products. Many of her products are well under $20 & are amazing. She also has a Christmas range out right now that is perfect for this time of year. Now if you live in the states you will have to order online from feelunique.com. They are currently have a deal where you get 3 for 2. Shipping & delivery speed is perfect for last minute shopping.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics are another great idea for stocking stuffers, especially if the person you are buying for is a make up lover. She has an amazing line that ranges from lash, lips, eyes, & nails, with so many great colors to choose from! Quality of the prodcuts are amazing & pricing is really affordable too. This is another product that if you live in the states you will have to get from feelunique.com. They also have a current deal going on most of her products that is a 3 for 2. Again shipping and delivery is perfect for the last minute gift.

Bath & Body Works is also a great go to for just about anyone. You have a wide range of scents & products to pick from. They always have some kind of a deal going on, currently it's buy 3 get 3 free, who doesn't love free products. I definately utilized this for my Christmas shopping!

Lush Cosmetics is another great idea. You can buy multiple products for under $20, depending on what you're specifically looking for. They have an amazing range and assortment of bath bombs, bath melts, bubble bars, & so on. This is definately a love of mine, I have quite the collection at home. I usually do also hand out a few of these as Christmas presents every year & I haven't had any complaints yet!

Scarves is another great non expensive gift to give. Who doesn't love a good scarf, I know I do. I have quite the over flowing collection at home. Sadly here in Louisiana it can go from 29 degrees to 70 degress in the span of a day, so you never quite know what to put on, but definately well worth it. You can pick these up at basically any clothing store around you or online.

What are some of your favorite stocking stuffers??

Quickly Approaching | 4 Week Update

Hey dears. It's crazy to think Christmas is next weekend, like that's insane. Not to mention how fast this year has flown by. It's completely different than a normal December however. Sadly I'm still stuck in the hospital, but good for baby that he is still baking. I can't help but sit here and think of everything that I wanted to do/usually do around this time of year. It makes me a little bummed but in the end theres nothing I can do about it, so no point in getting myself down.

Update date on little man. He's still doing really well. Nothing new or crazy. They did weigh him Monday, he's currently 3lbs 1oz, however they did say he's probably weighs more but due to the lack of fluid it's a little harder to measure. Tomorrow I will be 31.4 weeks & it will make 4 weeks that I've been in here, which I can say have flown by surprisingly.

Thanks again for the continued support, prayers, calls, texts, & visits. These sort of situations helps you realize the people who's really there for you no matter what & it means everything! Until next time 💜

November Ipsy Subscription

Hey dears. This another one of my monthly post I do that I was not able to get up in November due to the currently hospital situation, so better late than never right? If your not sure what I'm talking about you can check out my post here

Two Faced Better Than Sex Mascara: This is something I have loved for quite some time. It does everything you want in a mascara. I don't even curl my eye lashes anymore prior to applying this mascara because this does it for you. I will either wear this alone or as a base mascara, either works wonders.

Nuxe Nuxellence Detox: This is a product I've actually never heard of before. Sadly majority of the writing on the packaging is in another language so I cannot tell you much about it. The only thing I'm able to make out is its used for detoxifying & youth revealing anti-aging care.

Luxie Brush 524T: One of my favorite things to "collect" is brushes. I cannot wait to add this little beauty to my collection of make up brushes.

Skone Brow Wand: I got this in the color Chocolate. I love a good brow filler whether is a powder, gel, or pencil. Is seems to be in the color that would match my eye brows. Another one I can't wait to give a go.

StarLooks Liquid Eyeshadow: I got this in the color Rose Gold. I did a quick little swatch on my arm all I can say is oh my! It goes on so smoothly & the pigment is amazing. It's such a beautiful color. Cannot wait to try this out.

November Sephora Play Subscription

Hey dears. I know this says November, which we are no longer in, however due to my child causing complications at the time I am just now being able to do a post on this lovely subscription that I did receive in November. If you're not sure what  exactly this is please check out my post here. So let's get straight into it...

Stella McCartney Pop Eau de Parfum: To be honest I'm a little picky when it comes to fragrances scents. This is actually one that I enjoy. It has a slight musk scent along with just the right amount of sweet & fresh scent mixed perfectly. It's description says "bright tuberose balanced with sandalwood notes, bold, authentic, irreverent."

Glam Glow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment: I have loved every single Glam Glow product I have bought in the past. However I do not believe I have tried this one yet. With currently being hospital bound I'm lacking on having majority of my facial products I use, so this one will for sure be one that is kept here with me to use on a regular.

Cover FX Illuminating Primer: Who doesn't love a good primer, right. I'm usually a faithful wearer of some sort of primer under my make up so I will definitely give this one its fair shot, my only concern is that it will make me more oily, which is why I have to wear matte foundations to begin with because I have naturally oily skin to begin with. So fingers crossed that it doesn't.

Laura Mericer Caviar Stick Eye Colour: I got this is the color Rosegold. It's this light beautiful shimmer gold color in a stick form. Im usually not to good with blending these sorts of eye shadows, but I will definitely give it a shot.

Caudalie Creme Sorbert Hydrating: I've heard so many amazing things about this product, I cannot honestly wait to give this a try. This brand have such amazing products that actually work, so I'm sure this will be a repurchase at some point in time.

Sephora Ultra Shine Lip Gel: I got this in the color 17 Pin-up Pink. I'm not a lip "gloss" user to much. However I will say its a pretty bright pink color & smells amazing. Would most likely be something I apply and eventually lick off my lips.

2 Week Update| Happy Birthday Hubby

Hey dears. So we have made it 2 weeks in the hospital. Little man is still doing well and very content on baking. We will have a few changes (for the good) happening shortly but well get into that in a bit.

How's momma doing did you ask. Well surprisingly well. I have not had a mental break down yet which is definitely a plus. Between wrapping my Christmas gifts or using my bag of wonders my mom, sister, & niece gave me I've been well entertained along with catching up on Walking Dead & movies on Netflix.

How is baby? Hayden is doing quiet well. my fluid levels have been the same the past 2 days which is great, but again it changes on a day to day basis. I still do the NST monitoring twice a day however the ultrasounds will change to twice a week because he is doing so well, unless the monitoring shows something it shouldn't. I still get my 2 chances of freedom a day & get to go on wheelchair rides outside.

Also I want to say a big Happy 30th Birthday to my hubby! Cannot believe how times has flown. Cannot wait for many more birthdays together. Sorry I cannot be home to celebrate it with you. I love you.

Hospital Day #7 | Update | Happy Thanksgiving

Hey dears! It has officially been a week that I've camped out at the hospital. Yesterday I got to move to a much bigger room around the corner & when I say much bigger I mean much bigger. It has a bigger bathroom, it's own microwave, & more visitor seating.

Best part is yesterday my sister & brother in law visited & came bearing a awesome gift. They showed up with above tree in tow, already decorated & ready to go. Apparently they stopped in the gift shop & saw said tree & even though the tree was not for sale, offered them a price & bought the tree. Which is hilariously awesome.

No new updates or changes with little man. Daily routine of what the hospital staff does hasn't changed. Which is a good thing. Again it's just a waiting game until he decides he is ready.

I just want to say Happy Thanksgiving to all those who celebrate & even though I can not go out & about to celebrate with my family & friends doesn't mean they haven't brought the party to me.

Until next time.

Hospital Day #5 | Update

Hey dears! So as you can see by the title that yes we are still in the hospital. Mr Hayden is still content on baking, which is what we want, but that means momma has to endear severe boredom & cannot leave her hospital room. Someone told me recently, well at least you get a break & don't have to do anything. My response, until you have to go through this then don't assume you know what it feels like, because I'd rather be doing my regular lifestyle than to just have to sit here. But whats best for the baby is of course whats best for the baby.

I've had so many text, calls, messages, & visits that it helps the time fly, however even Netflix, no matter what you watch gets old. I've even resulted into downloading multiple different games to my phone to try and keep myself occupied.

Baby update. They do a BPP ultrasound daily, NST monitor twice a day, & other than taking my normal medications and the antibiotics I really don't see much of the hospital people. IV is gone until baby decides to do something other than bake & were almost out of our 1 week watch mark. I also have to wear these compression things on my calves twice a day to make sure I don't get blood clots because I cant move around like I normally would. Don't get me wrong I move as much as possible but again I'm limited to my wonderful room.

So for now we wait, how long will we have to wait, well thats up to little man, could be from now until January 1. Want to say a big thanks again to both of our families for everything that ya'll have done to help either here or a home or keeping me company.

Until the next post!

Baby Hospital Drama | Admitted

Hey dears! So from my previous pregnancy post on here you may have gotten the idea that this little boy like to give us a run for a money and always keep us on our toes. Well yesterday morning he decided to throw us for another whirl wind. As of right now my behind is sat in a hospital bed because this child like to cause ruckus. Let me take you back to yesterday morning where this little tyke decides he wants his water bag to break....

Yes his water bag as in the sac he's in. Yes it was disgusting, no I have not gone into labor. I guess this is his way of saying he wants mommy and daddy to take some time off of work. My water broke when I got up to use the bathroom around 4:45am & we got to the hospital a short time later. Basically baby is technically fine. He can bake in there for another few weeks if he really wants. The truth is it's all up to him. Im currently 27.5 weeks & they will let him bake until 34 weeks as long as he shows no signs on distress, labor doesn't start, or I don't get an infection because his sac is ruptured.

The first 48 hours are the most critical, even more so the first 12 hours. Once I was put into a room, I was poked prodded with IVs & steroid shots to help develop his lungs just in case and also started on mag for 12 hours to help his brain develop a little faster, also been on a rotation of 2 IV antibiotics to prevent infection & they constantly monitored his heart rate & movements & myself for contractions. I even had a wonderful catheter.

Here's how the doctors told us how this can go. Some people go into labor within the first 12 hours, thats why the pump you with all the good stuff. After that another 15% go into labor within the first 48 hours, then after that 50% have baby within the first week & after that well its completely up to him really. He still produces amniotic fluid and it'll still build up in the sac but it will also still come out, which is what will happened until he comes out, that how he's ok to stay put in there for now.

Everything has been fine so far. He's going great, no problems & no contractions. I'm also doing well, I'm currently limited to my room but as long as Im not hooked to my IV or on the monitor for a NST I have free run of my room, got to shower last night, which was amazing. Netflix has also been a life savor. Now it's just a sitting and waiting game until little man decides to make his way into this world!

In the mean time, I will still try to post on and off, however you may see a slack in posting. Post I had planned for the holidays are now of course on the back burner until further notice. We just ask for thoughts and prayers until then! Much love!!!!

Marc Jacobs Sephora Birthday Gift

Hey dears! So Sephora does this really cool thing and gives you a little gift for your birthday. Every year it something different & is  usually sample size, but still its pretty awesome. This year it was a gel eye liner & lipstick from Marc Jacobs. I've worn both quite a few times since I've gotten it & they both are pretty great.

Mac Lipstick

Hey dearies. So it isn't unknown my love for Mac products, one item I have never tried nor owned from Mac is lipstick, and everyone knows my love for a good lipstick. So since the holidays are upon us I figured to pick up a few red shades and see if they live up to the reputation. So I picked up two in the shades Ruby Woo & Perfect Score. They such beautiful shades. Prefect Score is a pretty true red color & Ruby Woo is a little bit of a deeper red. I usually wear these on top of Mac Prep & Prime Lip which makes it last all day & it literally doesn't budge. I got the lipsticks for $17 each & Prep & Prime Lip for $17.50.

Mac Lip Pencil Review

Hey dearies. So what doesn't go better with any good ole lip stick then a good lip pencil. Mac has a excellent range of lip pencils in all sorts of shades. I have a few of these myself in the shades: Spice, Boldly Bear, & Subculture. All three have more of nude tone to them. They work amazing under a good nude lipstick or liquid matte lipstick. Glides on smooth & isn't one you have to really push hard to get a good application. Can't wait to get a few to go with my red Mac lipsticks. Definitely worth it. $17.50 each from Mac Cosmetics.

Never Mind The Ballistics Review | Lush

Hey dearies. So this was a first try for this interesting bath bomb from Lush. It one of their newer ones & I'm a sucker for trying them out. So at first smell this little one smelt quite sweet. Once in the bath water the yellow dissolved faster than the red & it leaves your water a pretty orange color.  Once it finished dissolving it had a pleasant citrus smells, very fresh & relaxing.  Highly recommend and probably will not be the last time I get this one.

You Want Me To Drink What?!

Hey dears. So I'm at the point in the pregnancy when I'm 25 weeks and sadly today I had to do the fun labs that come along with that. I did labs to make sure my iron was still good & I also to did the emphamis glucose test. You know that wonderful test where you drink a sugary drink, wait an hour,  & they draw your blood  to make sure you don't have gestational diabetes. It actually wasn't that horrible. Fingers crossed that all turns out well.

Why Do I Wear Make Up | Tag

Hey dears. The other other day I say this cute tag, fairly simple, 4 little questions as to why I chose to wear make up. I figured it could be a little interesting so here we go.

1. When did you begin loving make up?
Growing up parents and family always get you what I call the cheap kiddie make up, you know the stuff that really doesn't work. I really got into make up about 5-6 years ago. I went through phases growing up, did some not to cute make up. One day I watched a Tanya Burr make up tutorial & have been in love with make up ever since.

2. How do you feel without make up?
I'm perfectly fine without wearing make up. I usually only wear it when I'm going to work of if I will be out or if I have places to go. If I just have to make a few stops in town for a few errands I won't bother putting it on. To be honest its those times that its refreshing to give my skin a break and not wear anything.

3. What do you like about make up?
Everything. It's every changing, something new is always coming out, multiple brushes that do multiple things. The possibilities with make up are endless. It fun to play around with it, see what works and doesn't work for me.

4. Three Holy Grail items:
- Younqiue Touch Mineral Concealer- it has amazing coverage
- Mac Matchmaster Foundation
- Benefit Roller Lash

4 Favorite Halloween Films Growing Up

Hey dears. So it's that time of year again where TV stations start playing their rendition of Halloween movies. Luckily most of them are the good oldies from when I was growing up. I was never one of the kids who watched the movies that scared the pants off of you, I was more the kind of kid that like Disney or Tim Burton kind of movies. So above are 4 of my favorites that come on TV this time a year, to be honest I also have these on DVD. Also most of these are as old as I am. What are your favorite Halloween movies?
