Travels

image-weheartit.com

Travel. I find that word exciting and slightly scary. It means new places, faces, and experiences. Every part of the world has different sites to see and different cultures to experience. The scary part is that its still something new & I'm afraid to get lost.

Places I would love to go are:(US) Los Angeles, La Push, Hawaii, New York. (Non US) Canada, back to Cancun, London, Greece, Paris, Italy, Fiji, Bahamas, Jamaica, and so many more.....

These are all beautiful places & I hope one day I am able to experience every single one of them.

I also hope you all get to travel to any destination you want to!

Safe travels.

Follow Your Dreams

Oh how much do I love this quote. This is something I think everyone should do. Whatever you dream is, if you work hard enough, is achievable.  Even for famous people, it all started somewhere.

Sometimes I think if I wasn't a nurse what would I be? Until quite recently I didn't know what the answer was. Don't get me wrong I love my job. I love helping people, that's always been a passion of mine. But if I did have to pick something else what would it be?

I finally have my answer. Blogging. I honestly really enjoy it. It makes me happy. It has something to do about being able to write down my thoughts and feelings that brings joy to my tiny heart.

So my question for you is... If you could do any profession, if you work then not that one, what would it be??

Tangle Teezer

So recently I purchased this cool looking brush. Its called the Original Tangle Teezer by Shawn P from England. Pretty cool right? I have curly thick hair & what I do after I wash it is brush it and let it dry. Well I was it every other day and I don't brush it those 2 days because my curls will brush out. Well you can about imagine the tangles I have in my hair. Well not for this bad boy. Its amazing!

Its cute and small enough to fit in your hand. It doesn't take multiple passes to get the tangles out. Easy to clean. And of course its pink. I just love it all around.

Blogger

Aloha! I decided that I'm going to do some kind of post twice a week on Wednesday & Saturday. When I first decided to start this blog (1 month ago) it was just going to be a random posting thing, but as I started doing it more and more I realize how much I really enjoyed it, how I don't just want it to be a "thing" but an actual blog. I realized that I wanted to do it more and make it more serious and have meaning to it.

I decided I want to make this a beauty, inspirational, & life blog. I generally a happy person and that's how I plan this blog to be. What I want more is for this to make some one smile or to maybe even make their day just a tiny bit better. I hope to get more followers so we can take this journey together.

Reason

Aloha. I think this is one of the hardest things for any human being to understand. This is something I personally am a firm believer in. I believe that when one door closes another one will open. I know its easier to understand this when good things happen, but when bad things happen, it seems impossible.

I think I can say we all love it when good things happen to us. In a way it gives us a slight sense of empowerment. Even a feeling of being more special then we normally are. I know it gives me this certain feelings of excitement. These things can have a wide range from something small, like having a good day, or something big, like winning a game or competition or even bigger then that. So everyone lets have a great day or turn your bad day into a good one!

Now for when bad things happen, this quote is so difficult to understand. I believe everything does happen to a reason and we are all able to over come this but its our choice whether we actually we over come it or not. Just like we choose our own paths we travel, we also choose how we handle things. If you are going through a tough time, take a deep breath, hold your head high, and remember you can do this. You can make it through whatever it is your going through! Your beautiful, your loved, you will get through this!

Just remember no matter what it is a journey, what doesn't kill you (not literally) will make you stronger. Everything does happen for a reason, you may not understand it now, but eventually you will. When one door does close another one does open, we just have to open ours eyes to see it. You can do it.

Adventure

Aloha. I know the word adventure can mean basically anything. Whether it means hanging out with a friend and having a good time, going on vacation, or something like in the movies.

image-weheartit.com

My best friend and I don't get to hang out a lot but when we do I call it my adventures with Jean. It always something fun and hilarious even if its just hanging out at one of our homes. Its not what you do its how you do it and what you make it.
Vacation. I think we all love that word. Whether its somewhere you've already been or going some place for the  first time. I've been to Florida many times and I love it each time. I've also been to Cancun and that was a really cool and exciting experience. I hope one day I have a chance to go to many more places.
I know when I'm watching movies and their on this cool random adventure, most people in life would never get to experience. I think I want to go on an adventure like that. Do you? Their always on edge and really cool, romantic and exciting, or just a mixture of that all together. I personally think it would be a really interesting experience. (nothing scary or life threatening).
Now with all this said. Go out and have an amazing adventure!!

Just Be Happy

Aloha. As I get older, I know personally I'm learning not to let stuff bother or bring me down. I'm sure many of you can relate. Sometimes the smallest things that happen that isn't part of our daily plan can really bring you down. I think we all reach a point in our life that makes it just not seem relevant anymore.
image-weheartit.com

We live in a world that seems like its mission to bring others down. Whether if its with loss, drama, financial problems, etc. One thing is for sure, no one has a perfect life where something bad hasn't happened to them.
Growing up & going through high school there's one thing that I don't think any kid can escape, drama. No matter how much you try to stay out of it, it always will find a way to creep in your life. Try to ignore it as much as possible and just be the bigger person. If there is that one person who always tries to drag you into drama, maybe that person doesn't need to be a part of your life. Stay above it all.
I think at some time or another we all lose someone close in our lives. As a child I  lost my grandfather & my aunt. Those I never really had a chance to actually feel the loss of them, because at that age we don't really understand it. Recently I've lost some close to me & it really hit me hard (no this is not a sob story & I'm not begging for sympathy). I took his passing extremely hard and I think I cried just as much as his actual kids. We all have to deal with loss in our own way & I don't think any of us ever actually get over it. But we have to learn to live with it on a day to day basis. The most important thing to remember is that the person that has passed, the last thing they would want is for you to be unable to be happy and not to be able to live your life.
I think financial problems can be a touchy subject for most people. The one thing I like to remember is (sometimes depending of what kind of financial problems your having) is that God doesn't put you through anything that he doesn't already know you'll make it through.
With all this said I hope you have a happy and joyful day & make sure you hold your heads up high.

New Beauty Products

Aloha. Quite recently I learned how to apply my make up correctly & take care of my skin properly. I also have been exposed to many new brands of make up. Over the pass couple of months my make up collection & skin care products have doubled in size. So I figured I'd review the products. So lets get cracking.
L'Oreal Hydrafresh Toner - I started using this about 2 months ago & I see a massive difference in my skin. I use this before putting my make up on & after I get out of the tub. It leaves my skin feels smooth and fresh.
Tree Hut Shea Body Butter - I've also been using this for about 2 months and I use it after I get out of the bath tub. Let me tell you this has worked wonders. It leaves my skin feeling so soft. I have this in the scent almond & honey & it smells amazing.
Clean & Clear Moisturizer - Yet again another product I've used for about 2 months and I see a HUGE improvement in my skin since I've started using this product. It leaves my skin silky smooth.
NARS - I have this in sheer matte Santa FE & I absolutely LOVE it. It has great coverage & I don't have to put a lot on my stippling brush. My problem with bases is that it never stays on through out the day. This one does just the opposite, I never had to touch up.

Mary Kaye Mineral Bronzer - I have this in desert sun. This was first bronzer & I really like to use it for contouring. Once I learned how to apply it correctly I really started to love it & the definition it brought to my face.

Mac Creamblend Blush - I have this in Ladyblush. What I really like about this blush is how creamy and smooth it applies. Its also very easy to blend.

Mac Mineralize Skin Finish - I have this in soft and gentle. I must say this is my new best friend. I use this as a high light to my cheeks, forehead, & nose. I love how it puts just a slight sheen & slight glimmer.

Maybelline - I have this in Falsies Volume Express & I absolutely LOVE it. It lengthens my lashes really well & my favorite thing about them it that it doesn't clump the lashes together.

Maybelline Baby Lips - I have this is Punch Shock. I recently got into being more adventurous in lipstick colors. I like this one because not only does it add just the right amount of color, but it also moisturizes my lips as well leaving the soft and smooth.

Luckily all have worked out well for me. I cant wait to try many more. I will also start putting reviews up of new products I try.

Year One

So today wasn't just any other today. Today one year ago I married my best friend. It seem so surreal that its been a year already. Time has flown by. This time last year I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Between worrying about the weather, making sure everyone had everything and everything was in place, things flowed pretty smooth.

One thing is for sure. I can definitely say that in years to come I can say I will remember this first anniversary. After sleeping in and eating donut holes for breakfast, me and the puppies laid around while Steven went run some errands. Once he got home we decided we were going to go finishing. Well this was the decision which slowly went down hill.

We go to a place called Catfish Heaven, which they have 2 huge man made ponds that the put all these fish in. Once you check in and buy at least one thing of bait from them your free to fish. Once your done you just have to bring all the fish you catch (you can't let them go & if you do you have to pay $25) yeah I know bummer right.

Once we sat in our spot and got our selves situated, we baited our lines and casted out. Then the ants descended. Its like everywhere you went there were ants. And not in ant piles, they were just roaming freely. So we decided to move to the second pond in hopes or more fish bites and less ant bites. Well this if when the first big mishap happened. While moving some stuff my foot ever so politely went into a hole and twisted and cracked. Now everything in my hands of course fell out my hands and then the pain hit.

So once I got up and was convinced my ankle wasn't broke just sore, we relocated to our new spot. Well this is when I decided my picky toe was broken. Yeah I know sucks right. And again we were attacked by ants. And again we moved spots again. In this spot we sat there for about 4 hours, caught 5.25 fish (5 decent size catfish & 1 small brim), caught a snapping turtle who tried to eat 2 of our lines, & got sunburnt.

So once we got back to the house & iced down my foot, we watched TV to about 6 o'clock. SO at 6:15 we cut out cake topped that you cut on your one year anniversary. And man was it delicious! I think the moral of the story is that you don't have to do anything big or extravagant, as long as you both are spending time and enjoying each others company that's all that matters.

p.s. I found this cute little note Steven wrote...

Hello September

image-weheartit.com

Its that wonderful time of the year again! Where we get our first cool fronts and things are transitioning from summer to autumn. I must say this is the beginning of my favorite time of the year. I love the cool weather. The brown leaves. I can wear my boots and long sleeve shirts. And it means Christmas is coming!!!!

About this time of the year me and my husband start planning our Christmas list and shopping. And I must say Christmas is my most favorite time of the year. I love the cold, the lights, and just that feeling Christmas brings. Sadly my husband will be away this year for Christmas, so we will probably end up having our Christmas a week early. I hope you all have a great season.

Anniversary Dinner

Aloha. So tomorrow makes our first wedding anniversary. But we celebrate it at this old fancy billiard room looking restaurant due to reservations. Apparently Steven had had it planned. All he would tell me was not to make plans for the 20th after work and I had to dress up and wear dress shoes. Let's just say he is a bad lair and I had guessed where we were going multiple times. But it was a romantic mystery date.

So one I got home from work yesterday, I bathed, redid my make-up. I wore this pretty cream tank top with a soft brown cardigan, skinny jeans, and my good cowgirl boots. So we left about 6. And after stopping at the bank, which is by the casino I guessed we were going to. He went to opposite way and he said ok so I lied we are going to the casino.

After walking through the casino, he told me yes I was right we were going to Mr Lesters. We got there about a hour early so we walked around and had a few drinks. Once we check in, we went sit in what's called the cigar room. A few hours and drinks later, we paid our bill and headed home. We had a great evening and I cannot wait for many more to come.

Here's some pictures from the evening.

Happiness

Aloha! We all know that no one said life is ever going to be easy. But it is what you make it. Not only how you make it, but also who you surround yourself with. You want people who will make you laugh, smile, and brighten your day. Do not surround yourself with people who bring you down or make you feel any less important or beautiful then what you are. Its not always about being popular or having the most friends. I know personally I would rather having a hand full my best friends then multiple acquaintances. We are not made to be friends with everyone.  So go out and find those few people in your life that will make it a happier journey.

Puppy Love

Aloha. I have a feeling this will be a rambling blog of todays events. After working until 2 miss Skylar bug had to go for her yearly check up at the vet. I must say she's the only dog I know who's excited.

And with her its always fun events. When we got in the clinic this guy was having his "dog" checked out. His dog had run away and a lady had found him and contacted him. Cool fact was that it wasn't a dog at all but a full blooded wolf. Nicest "dog" ever! I love wolves, so it was extremely cool to be less then 2 feet from one.

After that we made a run to pet smart and she had WAY to much fun, and went get Steven's truck washed. That was the first time Skylar has ever been in, lets just say she thought it was interesting.

Once we got home and fed the puppies. We figured we would give them some time to play with their squeaky toys. It amazes me how their personalities are so different.

Max is the eldest. He's 5 years old. For 4 years he was the only baby and boy was he mad when we got the other two dogs. As he has gotten older he's not so much hyper any more but more laid back and just likes to watch what's going on instead of being at the front line. He LOVES his bones, socks, plastic bottles, & his squeaky toys.

Camo is 1 years old and he came second. He was so tiny when we got him now he is long and skinny. He is still as ADD as he was when he was a puppy and loves his cuddles. I think the funniest thing he does is when he's ready to go to bed he will go put himself to bed and get under the covers. He also will take yours finger in his mouth and pull to where ever he wants to go if he wants you to follow him. He loves socks, treats, & bones.

Skylar is 1 years old and as your might have figured out she came last. She's our biggest and our most hyper. She's also our most spoiled and needy. She always wants to be the center of attention. When we do something she doesn't like she gives us the "I'm to pretty for this" look. She loves, EVERYTHING!! Hence the spoiled rotten.
