Guardian of the Forest Review

So this was a recent purchase from Lush called Guardian of the Forest. When I first took it out of its package the smell just hits you, and not in a bad way. It smells very woodsy and I smell a hint of grass. It dissolves fairly quickly and again smells amazing. Can I also say that these pictures do not do it justice, its a much more darker green. Would definitely buy this beauty again.

Zoella's Funfetti Cupcakes

I'm always a sucker for baking things that are made from scratch. I found this great recipe for Funfetti Cupcakes on Zoella's YouTube video. They were fairly simple and easy to make and my sister, niece, & myself had fun making them. We also used my kitchenaid which was a big help!!

********
The Basic Cupcake Recipe:

125g sugar
125g self raising flour
2 large eggs
125g unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1 1/2 tablespoon of milk
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Add as  many sprinkles as you like.

Preheat oven to 170 degrees C or 325 degrees F.

Put you cupcake tins into your pan.

Use a cookie dough scoop to fill tins.

Bake for 20-25 minutes (mine were done in 20).

Let cool.

********

Buttercream Icing:

335g icing sugar
150g unsalted butter
1-2 tablespoons whole milk
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Mix butter alone for 5 minutes.

Sift and add icing sugar by 1/3.

Mix together well.

Put into piping bag and use star nozzle.

Sprinkles on top and display.

P.S. They are sooo yummy!!

Caudalie Paris Eau De Beaute

I found this little beauty after watching the lovely Danielle Peazer's YouTube video. And can I say it intrigued me. I had never really tried any sort of facial spritzers before, but this one make me fall in love quite quickly. I usually use it about half way through the day or before going places at night. Just spritz onto your face and you're met with a ting and zing. I smells amazing and minty, and it gives you the feels, literally. I usually carry it around with me in my bag and go about my merry way. I have a few friends and co-workers that will randomly ask if they can have a spritz. (my friends are weird). I got mine from Sephora, I don't remember how much I paid for it but I can say it was in the $40-$50 range.

Meeting The Cast Of The Walking Dead

So today was Comic Con in New Orleans and can I say it was so much fun. Last year was my first year attending and my bestie and myself met Tom Felton from Harry Potter. However this year I knew was going to be my Walking Dead year. This year they had Norman Reedus (Daryl), Scott Wilson (Hershel), Chandler Riggs (Carl), Steven Yeun (Glenn), & Jon Bernthal (Shane). My dad and myself got autographs from Norman & Scott and the rest we got to admire from afar. We also did out photo op with Norman. Those two guys I can honestly say how genuine and nice they are. They both greeted you with hugs or hand shakes, talked and told stories, & also gave hugs again before you left! They also had MANY booths and displays set up. See our photos below!!

New Year Goals

I'm not usually one that partakes in New Year Resolutions, but I did decide on some goals that I would like to achieve this year or to live by.
I want to exercise more. I was going to the gym 3 times a week before we hit a little speed bump in the road. Now that we are past that little bump I'm ready to hit the gym again. I like the feeling it gives when you exercise, it's a hard feeling to describe, but it's a good one.

Let the people who don't matter, not matter. I've always been the kind of person to where I refuse to let others bring me down. Recently more so then others. But I've already started this process by cleaning out Facebook friends & contacts. Which I am quite proud of myself for doing so. I like a happy and peaceful life and someone that I matter to shouldn't try to change that.
Blogging more. This blog has never been dedicated to one thing. I've always blogged about any and everything, which I love. I don't want to categorize it as one specific thing. However I've been blogging more and I really miss blogging as often as I have been and I look forward to doing it more this year.

Baking. I want to do more baking and blog about it. I have a passion for baking things that are made from scratch. I love to say I made this from start to finish. I love watching Zoe Sugg or Tanya Burr's baking videos! They are where I get many of my recipes. So be on the look out for more baking post.

New look. As you can tell recently my blog has had a new amazing make over. Which I'm absolutely in love with. Change is great and I've had this blog going on 3 years, it was time for a change. And I'm so happy with the outcome. Thanks Pipdig for my blogs new look.

Here's to a happy and prosperous year.

Tisty Toasty Bath Bomb Review

This little beauty I found is more for just scent and a little decorative. It dissolves quickly, smells very florally, doesn't really change water color or anything but leaves these really cute dried up roses behind. So in the end quite simple, smells amazing, & has a cute touch of floating flowers. Priced at $6.45 at Lush.
