Hospital Day #7 | Update | Happy Thanksgiving

Hey dears! It has officially been a week that I've camped out at the hospital. Yesterday I got to move to a much bigger room around the corner & when I say much bigger I mean much bigger. It has a bigger bathroom, it's own microwave, & more visitor seating.

Best part is yesterday my sister & brother in law visited & came bearing a awesome gift. They showed up with above tree in tow, already decorated & ready to go. Apparently they stopped in the gift shop & saw said tree & even though the tree was not for sale, offered them a price & bought the tree. Which is hilariously awesome.

No new updates or changes with little man. Daily routine of what the hospital staff does hasn't changed. Which is a good thing. Again it's just a waiting game until he decides he is ready.

I just want to say Happy Thanksgiving to all those who celebrate & even though I can not go out & about to celebrate with my family & friends doesn't mean they haven't brought the party to me.

Until next time.

Hospital Day #5 | Update

Hey dears! So as you can see by the title that yes we are still in the hospital. Mr Hayden is still content on baking, which is what we want, but that means momma has to endear severe boredom & cannot leave her hospital room. Someone told me recently, well at least you get a break & don't have to do anything. My response, until you have to go through this then don't assume you know what it feels like, because I'd rather be doing my regular lifestyle than to just have to sit here. But whats best for the baby is of course whats best for the baby.

I've had so many text, calls, messages, & visits that it helps the time fly, however even Netflix, no matter what you watch gets old. I've even resulted into downloading multiple different games to my phone to try and keep myself occupied.

Baby update. They do a BPP ultrasound daily, NST monitor twice a day, & other than taking my normal medications and the antibiotics I really don't see much of the hospital people. IV is gone until baby decides to do something other than bake & were almost out of our 1 week watch mark. I also have to wear these compression things on my calves twice a day to make sure I don't get blood clots because I cant move around like I normally would. Don't get me wrong I move as much as possible but again I'm limited to my wonderful room.

So for now we wait, how long will we have to wait, well thats up to little man, could be from now until January 1. Want to say a big thanks again to both of our families for everything that ya'll have done to help either here or a home or keeping me company.

Until the next post!

Baby Hospital Drama | Admitted

Hey dears! So from my previous pregnancy post on here you may have gotten the idea that this little boy like to give us a run for a money and always keep us on our toes. Well yesterday morning he decided to throw us for another whirl wind. As of right now my behind is sat in a hospital bed because this child like to cause ruckus. Let me take you back to yesterday morning where this little tyke decides he wants his water bag to break....

Yes his water bag as in the sac he's in. Yes it was disgusting, no I have not gone into labor. I guess this is his way of saying he wants mommy and daddy to take some time off of work. My water broke when I got up to use the bathroom around 4:45am & we got to the hospital a short time later. Basically baby is technically fine. He can bake in there for another few weeks if he really wants. The truth is it's all up to him. Im currently 27.5 weeks & they will let him bake until 34 weeks as long as he shows no signs on distress, labor doesn't start, or I don't get an infection because his sac is ruptured.

The first 48 hours are the most critical, even more so the first 12 hours. Once I was put into a room, I was poked prodded with IVs & steroid shots to help develop his lungs just in case and also started on mag for 12 hours to help his brain develop a little faster, also been on a rotation of 2 IV antibiotics to prevent infection & they constantly monitored his heart rate & movements & myself for contractions. I even had a wonderful catheter.

Here's how the doctors told us how this can go. Some people go into labor within the first 12 hours, thats why the pump you with all the good stuff. After that another 15% go into labor within the first 48 hours, then after that 50% have baby within the first week & after that well its completely up to him really. He still produces amniotic fluid and it'll still build up in the sac but it will also still come out, which is what will happened until he comes out, that how he's ok to stay put in there for now.

Everything has been fine so far. He's going great, no problems & no contractions. I'm also doing well, I'm currently limited to my room but as long as Im not hooked to my IV or on the monitor for a NST I have free run of my room, got to shower last night, which was amazing. Netflix has also been a life savor. Now it's just a sitting and waiting game until little man decides to make his way into this world!

In the mean time, I will still try to post on and off, however you may see a slack in posting. Post I had planned for the holidays are now of course on the back burner until further notice. We just ask for thoughts and prayers until then! Much love!!!!

Hey dears! So Sephora does this really cool thing and gives you a little gift for your birthday. Every year it something different & is  usually sample size, but still its pretty awesome. This year it was a gel eye liner & lipstick from Marc Jacobs. I've worn both quite a few times since I've gotten it & they both are pretty great.

Mac Lipstick

Hey dearies. So it isn't unknown my love for Mac products, one item I have never tried nor owned from Mac is lipstick, and everyone knows my love for a good lipstick. So since the holidays are upon us I figured to pick up a few red shades and see if they live up to the reputation. So I picked up two in the shades Ruby Woo & Perfect Score. They such beautiful shades. Prefect Score is a pretty true red color & Ruby Woo is a little bit of a deeper red. I usually wear these on top of Mac Prep & Prime Lip which makes it last all day & it literally doesn't budge. I got the lipsticks for $17 each & Prep & Prime Lip for $17.50.

Mac Lip Pencil Review

Hey dearies. So what doesn't go better with any good ole lip stick then a good lip pencil. Mac has a excellent range of lip pencils in all sorts of shades. I have a few of these myself in the shades: Spice, Boldly Bear, & Subculture. All three have more of nude tone to them. They work amazing under a good nude lipstick or liquid matte lipstick. Glides on smooth & isn't one you have to really push hard to get a good application. Can't wait to get a few to go with my red Mac lipsticks. Definitely worth it. $17.50 each from Mac Cosmetics.

Never Mind The Ballistics Review | Lush

Hey dearies. So this was a first try for this interesting bath bomb from Lush. It one of their newer ones & I'm a sucker for trying them out. So at first smell this little one smelt quite sweet. Once in the bath water the yellow dissolved faster than the red & it leaves your water a pretty orange color.  Once it finished dissolving it had a pleasant citrus smells, very fresh & relaxing.  Highly recommend and probably will not be the last time I get this one.

You Want Me To Drink What?!

Hey dears. So I'm at the point in the pregnancy when I'm 25 weeks and sadly today I had to do the fun labs that come along with that. I did labs to make sure my iron was still good & I also to did the emphamis glucose test. You know that wonderful test where you drink a sugary drink, wait an hour,  & they draw your blood  to make sure you don't have gestational diabetes. It actually wasn't that horrible. Fingers crossed that all turns out well.

Why Do I Wear Make Up | Tag

Hey dears. The other other day I say this cute tag, fairly simple, 4 little questions as to why I chose to wear make up. I figured it could be a little interesting so here we go.

1. When did you begin loving make up?
Growing up parents and family always get you what I call the cheap kiddie make up, you know the stuff that really doesn't work. I really got into make up about 5-6 years ago. I went through phases growing up, did some not to cute make up. One day I watched a Tanya Burr make up tutorial & have been in love with make up ever since.

2. How do you feel without make up?
I'm perfectly fine without wearing make up. I usually only wear it when I'm going to work of if I will be out or if I have places to go. If I just have to make a few stops in town for a few errands I won't bother putting it on. To be honest its those times that its refreshing to give my skin a break and not wear anything.

3. What do you like about make up?
Everything. It's every changing, something new is always coming out, multiple brushes that do multiple things. The possibilities with make up are endless. It fun to play around with it, see what works and doesn't work for me.

4. Three Holy Grail items:
- Younqiue Touch Mineral Concealer- it has amazing coverage
- Mac Matchmaster Foundation
- Benefit Roller Lash
