Hey dears. Second post of the day say what! In addition to my 12 Days of Harry Potter Socks, I also got bub & I each a chocolate advent calendar. Yes I will give my kid chocolate, it'll be alright! I've done these little ones for about 4 years now! Do you do chocolate advent calendars?

R'Us Winter Haul

Hey dears. Just wanted to post a quick haul of a few pieces I got bub for winter wear. Now these are a 9-12 month, so he probably will be able to fit into them around end of December. So here a few bits I picked up from Babies'R'Us.

I think they're quite cute. We have a few 4H events coming up in January & February, for his parrain, that the button ups & jeans will be perfect for.

Bitter Sweet

Hey dears. Were do I start. Today is the one year mark for the day my life went full stop on hold. It was a year ago today that my water broke at 4:30 am. One year that they told me I couldn't leave the hospital until my baby was born. Plans, work, life just came to a stop. Which as most moms would do, I, of course, did what was best for my child. It would be the start of an almost 7 week journey. 

This gives a really weird emotion that I cannot explain. Makes me feel almost paranoid. I know I, most certainly, am not currently pregnant and my baby is almost one. He's healthy & happy. I couldn't ask for anything more. So nothing could really repeat of what happened, but it still doesn't sit right. So here's to a great Thanksgiving & Christmas!

Meeting Santa

Hey dears. Guys my heart is so full. Yesterday I let bub play hookie from daycare & meet Santa & get his picture taken & man it came out great! If you don't know my little man is full of personality & charm. He was so intrigued by Santa he couldn't look away, until he was over it and wanted mama.

He loved Santa! He does so well with pictures & his outfit was perfect. 

Raven and her two little ones also went see Santa and we had a little shop after. Paisley did not like Santa in the least. Here are a few tid bits from that.

Love those kids! Cannot wait until Christmas!

Is My Head Screwed On Straight?

Hey dears. These past few weeks have been hectic. Not to mention it's only going to continue over the next 2 months. I'm finally finished with bubs everything for his birthday party & his gifts. I've also finished all Christmas shopping! Let's just let that sink in for a few.

So let me break down the hectic: appointments, birthday parties, baby showers, Christmas pictures and just general family events coming up or has passed has been every weekend. This momma is beyond tired.

I've also had a few days off recently and have taken advantage of going to the movies, which I've enjoyed. Christmas pictures with Santa are coming up, which will be fun. I've also completed Christmas cards which are ready for mailing. I don't know about you but I'm the kind of person that has to stay on top of things. I cannot wait until the last minute to finish task.

Things to look forward to are Thanksgiving and, of course, Christmas. Can't forget going seeing Christmas lights & going to the parades, along with 1 year pictures & as I said above pictures with Santa. So even though life's been hectic I've enjoyed it for the most part every step of the way.

Georgia Trip With Bub & Pop

Hey dears. Two weeks ago today we received some horrible news that my grandmother has passed away the prior night at her kitchen table. So my dad, bub, & I packed out bags and drove out to almost the middle of no where Georgia, literally. I must admit cell service was a bit better that then the 3.5 years ago when I was there for my grandfathers funeral.

Now honestly I don't want this post to be focused of any of the above, but more so about long car trip with a infant. In all honest it wasn't that bad. Bub did really well! He did get fussy when he was hungry or sleep, which is to be expected. But other than that the trip went pretty smooth. We got to see people we don't get to see quite often. Everyone got to meet bub. Bub soaked up the attention. He did really well at the service & cemetery. The other only thing that was a little different is that he didn't go to be at his normal time, to much going on, to many people around, he loved listening to peoples conversations. 

I forgot to mention this trip was 12 hours there & 12 hours back. We left Thursday morning at 4:30 am & left at 5:30 am their time to come back the Saturday. I know most people would say, wouldn't have been easier to just fly. But really it would have been faster to fly but I believe it was easier to drive. Bub would be the child screaming on the plane. 

From previous trips I knew what to pack & what wasn't needed, so that was quite easy. The trip home seemed to go by so much faster than the trip going there. But all in all i'm just glad to say I have a child who travels really well!
