New Year:New Look

After much debate I've decided to do something a little drastic.  I've had this blog for about 2.5 years and I've has the same layout since. Sooo in light of a New Year quickly approaching, it's my pleasure to announce that my lovely blog with have a new look soon! It's quite exciting and I personally cannot wait. Keep tuned!

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer.
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
“Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!”
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Toys, and St Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.
His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
“Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!”

1. What is your favorite Christmas film?

2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?

We've never had a true White Christmas, maybe a few snow flurries but that's about as good as it has ever gotten.

3. Where do you usually spend your holiday?

With family at home!

4. What is your favorite Christmas song?

Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Michael Buble or O Holy Night by Josh Groban.

5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

Sure do! That's actually when we have always opened family gifts on Christmas Eve and gifts Christmas Day were Santas gifts....

6. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?

Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Bitzen... Thank you Jingle All The Way!

7. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?

We always get together at moms on Christmas Eve and my house for Christmas Day.

8. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

Fake, but next year I would like to get a real tree just once.

9. What is your all-time favorite holiday food/sweet treat?

Peanut butter fudge.

10. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?

I love giving gifts, it always makes me pretty excited.

11. What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?

A car a few years ago.

12. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

New York. I would do anything to go see the Rockefeller tree and then see the ball drop on New Years’. Also to see it light up with all the lights!

13. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?

I am sort of a pro. 

14. Most memorable Holiday moment?

I used to love riding around as a kid seeing the Christmas lights.

15. What made you realize the truth about Santa?

My parents broke the truth to me at 9.

16. Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?

Sadly no, never really made any to keep.

17. What makes the holidays special for you?

Now that we are all grown and are having kids, I love just spending time with the family making great memories. Also my parents are getting older too so just cherishing the times we have while we have them.

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil

I have a big thing for lip products. My family, friends, and co-workers know I always have on some kind of lip product and it changes daily. For my birthday Sephora gave me this cute little Nars box and inside was a Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in the shade Cruella. Tried it and can I say I absolutely love it. Now of course what they gave me is this cute little sample, so what did I do, purchase the daddy size, plus a few other shades.... I also got it in Dragon Girl and Never Say Never. And can I say that I cannot wait! They're really creamy and stay on all day. Also you don't really have to touch it up through out the day either. Not to bad on pricing either, you can get them from Sephora for $26.00.

YSL Lipstick

So recently I found a new love for YSL lipsticks. They have amazing pigment, they literally do not budge. I do not have to reapply multiple time a day, which is the best thing ever. Yes they may be a little pricey at $36.00 but you get what you pay for. I get so many compliments and questions about where did I get it or what is it. I have this is the color 208, but this I feel is the first of many.

Picture below is me wearing they 208 lipstick. This is roughly around 5pm with no touch ups. :)

YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer

So this little beauty has been a great find. It's a clear face primer with small gold flakes. It works well to matte the face. I usually have a problem with primers making my foundation sit weird on my face and excessive oil. This primer however did not do either. My make up stays as pretty as ever. Also is does not make me super oily, which is always great. I got this from Sephora for $52.00. Little pricey but very worth it.

So this little baby I had gotten as a sample with another purchase and I immediately fell in love with it. I use this after my coalface cleanser when I wash my face in he tub at night. I have s few breaks out every once in a while and this helps control them quite well! It's also on my autofresh so I can get it monthly.

This was a new find for me this month. This little beauty is a bubble bar. You break about half off under running water in your bath tub and tada!! It turns your water a pretty orange color with gold glitter shimmering about, and creates a lot of bubbles! It smells amazing too. Slightly citrus with a hint of spice. Good relaxation materials that is!

This is something I've been using for at least 5 years now. It's such an amazing scent. When I first smelt it I can tell you I did not expect  it to smell like it did. It's bold with a slight hint of sweetness.  It reminds me of a scent I used to where in middle school, I just can't remember what it was. It can be worn at any time of the year. It doesn't take to much either. It stays on most of the day and its also is reasonably priced.

These little beauties are so interesting to me. I mean its just simply a liquid you apply and then BAM your lips look gorgeous.  It took me forever and a day to learn how to apply it right but once I got the hang of it out they turned into one of my favorite things to use! They have a beautiful pigment and they last forever... literally! I mean you can eat, drink, & be merry and that lip stain will not move. I have these in the shades Sappy, Skittish, & Sultry. To be honest what can I say I love them each. These are just $22, but last month they had kudos where you got 3 lip stains & a lip gloss together. Highly recommended.

Younique Touch Mineral Skin Perfecting Concealer

I don't know about you but any make up lover always wants a good concealer! I mean foundation only goes so far when you have skin imperfections. I finally found one that matches my skin tone, doesn't make my skin oily, has great coverage, & last all day! I got it in the shade Scarlet because I, of course, am albino! Okay I may not be that pale but I'm pretty darn close! Also in this case a little goes a long way. It blends well with my current base that I use and I do not look multicolored or patchy!! Again little on the pricey side ($29) but totally worth it!!

These are some of the best lipsticks I've ever found. I have the shades Upscale, Extravagant, Conceited & I absolutely love them. They're creamy with great pigment. I find it last really long on your lips too. Now don't get me wrong when you eat you will see some slight wear and tear and may need a little touch up, but other then that the length of wear is great! Slightly a little more on the pricey side ($19) but totally worth the few extra dollars! In this situation you get what you pay for! Highly recommended!
