Laura Mercier Foundation Primer- Blemish-less

This little beauty I got from Sephora either as a sample or as a reward for trading in some points & it was so worth it. What can I say, I loved it so much it was  also a repurchase. All you simply do is after whatever your morning routine is you just apply it all over your face. In it's case a little goes a long way. It takes about a minute to fully dry and then you can apply your foundation or concealer, which ever you apply first. It applies smoothly and once it dries it doesn't  leave a heavy feeling on your face, which I think is great you don't want to feel like it's caked on there. I find while wearing it my makeup is less pron to move or do anything I don't want it to do. It also helps control oil & blemishes. Like I said earlier I got mine from Sephora for $ 36. Such a lovely product.

Kylie Jenner Lip Kit Koko K or Candy K or if i dont feel like going nude with my lips I'll use my Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream

4. Pool or beach?

Either or is fine, I'm more of a catching the sun from the beach/chair kind of person

5. Summer = crazy hair! Whats your must have styling product?
if its a day by the pool throw it in hair band maybe add a little sea salt spray or ifs a regular day add a little gel with a bit of hair spray and off we go

sadly not to much, growing up we would always take a summer vacation. now in the adult world, sadly just work.

Husband Makeup Knowledge Tag

Hey guys! Recently I stumbled upon this interesting Boyfriend/Fiance/Husband tag on Jasmine's page and found it really cute and I think it could be quite funny. So I composed this email and sent it to by husband who is currently offshore. I made sure to tell him he couldn't ask anyone for help or look anything up online, also he couldn't leave anything blank or say he didn't know. I figured it would be quite funny to see what he would come up with for some of these. Let's just say he isn't to make up savvy. Hope you enjoy!

PLEASE, DEFINE:
- Bronzer: Changes your skin color.
- Blusher: It makes you blush more.
- Mascara: Liquid foundation.
- Eye liner: To bring out the eyes.
- Strobing: The way makeup is put on.
- Eye shadow: Hides puffy eyes.
- Powder: Put over foundation.
- Foundation: Base makeup.
- Concealer: Primer to hide wrinkles.
- Highlighter: Brings more light to the face.
- Setting spray: Seals makeup for it doesn't drop or smudge.
- Contouring: The way makeup is put on the face.
- Primer: Fills in wrinkles.
- Lip liner: Defines the lips.
- Brow pencil: Gives you more detail to the brow.
- Serum: A liquid to make your skin soft.
- Cleanser: Cleans oil & makeup off your face.
- Micellar water: Conditions your skin.
- Toner:  Tones the skin.
- BB cream: Cleanser.

Was this test hard? Why yes/no?  Yes, because I don't know what any of this crap is used for.
Could you do my makeup the same way I do it every day? No, there's way to much stuff.

Summer Favorites

I find during summer everyone has certain things that they are drawn too, whether its things they wear, perfumes they use, or things that they apply to their skin. I find people, including myself, always go for things that quick to use & easy to apply. 

Ray Bans: As you know it's summer & here in southern Louisiana the heat is atrocious. I'm talking anywhere from 90-102, it's insane.  So you know that means sunglasses are a must. My Ray Bans are my go to sunglasses, they're always in my purse for easy access. I love the lenses because I find it gives you such a clear picture & you don't have to worry about reflection of the sun rays while you driving or walking around. 

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream: During summer I always have problems with my lip constantly drying out. So this another thing that I keep in my purse and continuously apply. No one wants dry, chapped lips, especially someone like me who always wear lip sticks or my Kylie Jenner Lip Kits.

Sugar Sport: Who doesn't love spending time in the sun during this beautiful weather. My sister has a pool, so I spend a bit of my free time sitting by her pool. I have a habit of always putting something on my lips with a good SPF. This is something that was recently released by Fresh and it can be used for lips & face with an SPF of 30. I prefer it just for my lips because the consistency is just to thick and heavy for the face in my opinion. I find it also has a long wear too.

Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Spray: This is my go to sun protection for my face. It has a great SPF of 50. I use this a lot when we are sitting by the pool. I find this has a strong alcohol smell when you first spray it on but it doesn't take long for it to clear. I'm pron to getting really sun burnt in my face & I find while using this my cheeks may turn a little red but they don't actually burn, which is great. I think we've all had that fun time to apply makeup over a sun burn. 

Australian Gold Continuous Spray: This is like the holy grail of sun products. We all want to get a nice tan while sitting in the sun , but I'm the kind of person that if I go into the sun without any sort of sun screen on, I'm going to be as red as a lobster. My sister had found this product year ago at a local Walgreen's & we have not turned back. It has a SPF of 4, 8, or 15. Once you spray it on it leaves a light bronzed color behind & because it does have a bronzer in it, I tan instead of burn. It is like the best thing ever for fair skinned ladies like myself. 

Flip Flops: The #1 to go shoe for ladies & some men during the summer. Who doesn't love a good pair of flip flops. Whether it's going on a beach vacation or just sitting by the pool, we all want something easy to put on and take off but also cute & comfortable. You can literally find a pair at almost any store & they usually don't cost an arm & a leg. 

Travel Map Backpack: This is a little cute backpack this I found on Amazon for a reasonable price. If I am going to an outside event or pool party I like to use this instead of my regular purse. I mean the last thing you want to do is lug a heavy purse and then have to keep track of it. I usually just throw my keys, wallet, and a few other bits and bobs, toss it onto my back and head out. It's so easy and convenient to keep track of.

Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche de Toilette: My favorite summer perfume. I has such a light fresh scent that is perfect for every day wear or for going out.

Wait What?!

So this past weekend my nephew & his wife held their gender reveal party for us & them to find out if baby #2 is a boy or girl. For their last reveal I guess team girl and happened to be right, so this time only 4 people were team girl, everyone else was team boy. Before they did did the reveal they asked me and one of my nephews friends to be the Godparents, which is wow, let me tell you I was not expecting it. We both got to spray Tyler & Raven with paint that was the color of the gender. Guess what. TEAM BOY WON. To say the family is ecstatic is and understatement.
