February Ipsy Subscription

Hey dears. I also, of course, got my Ipsy subscription in. If you unsure what exactly it is,  you can check it out here

As you can see this months bag is this cute denim outline in neon orange & the zipper in orange lips with Ipsy on it. Let's see what we had this month.

Luxie Rose Gold Blush Brush 514: Bristle are vegan, synthetic, & cruelty free. Soft & fluffy bristles combined with the small domed shape makes this great for dusting on highlighter.

WhatUp Beaches Matte Bronzer: States always has a natural look with no orange undertones. Is creamy & blendable, feels soft & silky, not dry or chalky like other matte formulas often can.

Rosa Noir Hand & Body Milk: Packaging states it hydrates without leaving hands slippery or greasy. Scent is a gorg blend of wild rose, hibiscus, & fig.

NYX Butter Lipstick: I got this in the color Lifeguard or Ripe Berry & has a satin finish. Packaging says it's very creamy with no need for lip balm beforehand.

The Organic Pharmacy Lip & Eye Cream: This was made to help heal the skin. For the eyes it reduces puffiness, dark circles, & lines. For the lips it hydrates & makes lips look plumper & moist.

Mistletoe | Lush Review

Hey dears. So here's another bath bomb from Lushes Christmas series. This is one that I haven't tried before & let's just say I was not disappointed.

Once you drop it into your tub, it's one to quickly dissolve. First you have a mixture of green and a darker red & it leaves you with an end result of having this pretty cranberry color. The smell is absolutely amazing also.

Now I'm not that great at describing scents so I went to the aid of All Things Lush UK for a little help. They describe is as "containing a combination of jasmine, vetivert and ylang ylang, this is a smell that is both sweet and comforting, yet delicately floral and decadent to boot. It is the sultry notes of the vetivert that steals the show here - wrapping your senses in a bouquet of sweet, smoky notes and velvety kisses. It's a smell that mimics what the inclusion of vanilla would normally do but instead offers Lush fans a creamy aroma that is different from the usual tonka-dominated domain."

It was definitely one that I liked & will be a repurchase next year!

Lord of Misrule | Lush Review

Hey dears. So here's something I haven't done in a while... a bath bomb review. Now I may have done this one a really long time ago but oh well.

This has always been a favorite one of mine, it's part of the Christmas series. It's this pretty green color on the outside, but once you drop it in it snaps, crackles, pops, & turns this beautiful wine color.

Lush says "Revel in your bath with this mischievous bomb that features a spicy herbal blend of patchouli and black pepper," & it's definitely the truth.

Will always be a repurchase.

Best. Day. Ever. | Home

Hey dears. So they day we have been waiting for has finally happened. Saturday we were able to room in at NICU and we were finally able to take our little man HOME on Sunday! It's the best feeling in the world having him home, it makes it much more real that we have a little one.

His first three days home were great. He literally only wakes up to eat or if he has a dirty diaper. He also has his first pediatrician appointment, which also went well!

I cannot tell you we are blessed to have a healthy little one after everything that has happened. He does have a heart murmur & a little hole in his heart but this is because of his prematurity & will both go away as he gets older.

Until next time!

Work. Pump. Drive. Repeat. | NICU Mom

Hey dears. So recently I started working again until our little one is able to come home & let me tell you it's not an easy thing to do. Not only do I feel horrible for not being there for him as much as I had been and feeling like I abandoned him, but now throw in a lack of sleep and exhaustion to the mix.

From working until 7 on Mondays, 2 on Wednesdays, & 5 on Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday; to pumping every 3 hours even during the night; to keeping up with animals & house work; to driving 30+ minutes to see my little guy after work; #walkingzombie is real!!!

Now I don't want this post to seem as I'm just complaining; I may be in a sense but in all honest I'm just stating facts. I know most people will say "just wait until he is home." However I think it may be just a tab easier once he's home because I won't have to constantly be driving back and forth to a hospital that is not in city I live in. I know that having a baby will give you a run for your money & to be honest he's the kind of baby that only wakes up if he's hungry or needs a diaper change, which is awesome. I cannot wait until he is home where he belongs.

I must say I've met some wonderful ladies who were actually in the hospital the same time I was, for the same exact thing who are now going through the same steps with our NICU little ones. You can talk to anyone about anything but having someone who's going through it also does wonders!

Fairly soon our little one will be a NICU Graduate & we cannot wait until that day comes.

Until next time....
