Work. Pump. Drive. Repeat. | NICU Mom

Hey dears. So recently I started working again until our little one is able to come home & let me tell you it's not an easy thing to do. Not only do I feel horrible for not being there for him as much as I had been and feeling like I abandoned him, but now throw in a lack of sleep and exhaustion to the mix.

From working until 7 on Mondays, 2 on Wednesdays, & 5 on Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday; to pumping every 3 hours even during the night; to keeping up with animals & house work; to driving 30+ minutes to see my little guy after work; #walkingzombie is real!!!

Now I don't want this post to seem as I'm just complaining; I may be in a sense but in all honest I'm just stating facts. I know most people will say "just wait until he is home." However I think it may be just a tab easier once he's home because I won't have to constantly be driving back and forth to a hospital that is not in city I live in. I know that having a baby will give you a run for your money & to be honest he's the kind of baby that only wakes up if he's hungry or needs a diaper change, which is awesome. I cannot wait until he is home where he belongs.

I must say I've met some wonderful ladies who were actually in the hospital the same time I was, for the same exact thing who are now going through the same steps with our NICU little ones. You can talk to anyone about anything but having someone who's going through it also does wonders!

Fairly soon our little one will be a NICU Graduate & we cannot wait until that day comes.

Until next time....
