Hey dears. So here's a few snaps from our trip to Oak Island & Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The trip was over all a nice trip, short but nice. Traveling there was a nightmare. We has an unexpected 7 hour layover in Detroit & once we landed in Toronto we made our last flight by seconds. Also they lost everything except Kim's suitcase, including the stroller, car seat, & all 3 of our luggage. The airport kindly gifted us a car seat & we made a claim. The next morning we only had 3 hours of sleep and walked MILES on Oak Island, yes like the TV show Curse of Oak Island. Which to me was so interesting & I love history, so it was right up my alley. I also got a call half way through the tour stating the airport has found EVERYTHING!!! Once the tour was over, we had an hour drive back to our hotel, & when we arrived our luggage had too. Let's just say everyone showered & crashed the rest of the afternoon. The following day we literally spent it down at the Harbor & we even did a 2 hour tour which was half land half water. The following day we traveled home. Nothing to crazy happened this time just got back really early in the morning.
4 days, 6 planes, 4 tired people.
Things I have learned. Always carry a major credit card. Never book a tour the day after travel in case travel plans get messed up. Canadians are really nice. They do not believe in sugar (snowball was nasty & bitter). The are eco friendly, no plastic only paper. They walk everywhere & are able to walk up the steep hills of the country. My toddler is a great flyer. My husband not so much.
